I apologize for not having a link to Charles comments on race, Ferguson, and the police. I suggest you look them up from CNN interview. He says police are doing their job and black people have a lot of crooks in their communities. We don't need Al Sharpton and his kind with the same tribal based mentality.

I heard them on the radio. They might take his Black Man's Card away from him for being a voice of reason. The female interviewer on CNN seemed a little non plussed.

CNN seems like they're out to start a race war. It's like watching Black Panther TV. They're very upset that Charles isn't on the bandwagon.

I have an elderly relative who had a stroke living with me right now. He listens to CNN with the vol. cranked all the way up all day. I feel like Alex Delarge in Clockwork Orange forced to watch disgusting acts and I can't ever close my eyes.

I went in there Sunday and CNN is running a scrawl that says, "Do White People Get It". Every ******* segment is about Ferguson and racism. It's disgusting. They don't give a damn about ISIS or the Middle East or China or anything else.

Its really sad that reasonable black people like Barkley are so few and far between. I just shake my head at some of the logic I have heard from protestors. The entitlement mindset that has taken a stranglehold on black Americans is very troubling to say the least.

UTCh
oh yes but there is just as much white guilt (or whatever one calls it).

I agree 100000% to have training programs for police to learn to deal more effectively with their community.

But who educates the in this instance/ subject black people and how they should obey the laws and how they should treat police?
What % of police start out their work day thinking they are going to harass a black person? Oh yes there are some who do.
versus what % of the black segment that commits the disparate % of crime starts out to get back at the police?Who will educate those people ?
Some like Barkley and even Chris rock in that one vid try.

This is a pretty strong vid that is directed to the people perpetuating the police are out to us myth. The Link

Charles will be destroyed by the black libs for being a black with common sense on the subject.

He was called Uncle Tom and crazy repeatedly yesterday on XM Progresive and the Urban channel. Suprise, surprise, surprise.

May I take it for granted that none of you has ever been clubbed for no reason by a cop or pulled over repeatedly on bs pretexts
by them?>

I have and it left a sour taste in my mouth that I still feel fifty years later. Some of my best friends are ex cops but the bs reasons they use to stop people, mostly minorities and poor whites just to poke around and look for drugs, etc., are the kind of thing that cause some groups of people to hate them and decline to believe anything they say.

As for Barkley, he is symptomatic of a larger set of conservative blacks who have always been around and mostly keep a low profile; few of them are celebrities and so they don't get much attention but there are lots of them out there.

I agree in essence with what he is saying but I also know cops never lie except when they do and they never mistreat people except when they do.

One of my best friends for the last thirty years is an ex detective who told me last week that he is against requiring the men in blue to wear cameras. I asked why and he said they are taking all the fun out of being a cop. Draw your own conclusion about what that means.

Everybody who is pulled over thinks they are being singled out, whether it be the car they are driving or the town they are in, or it was a speed trap....the ole I got pulled over because I am black was apt 30-40 years ago, but today it is just a pitiful excuse.

Quit bitching and moaning and contribute positively to society, it will amaze one at how differently they are treated!!!!

I'm not a police hater in the slightest. My father has worked his entire career for a law enforcement agency and my grandfather was a captain for DPS. Most of the cops out there are good people doing the best they can in a tough job. But, I have seen enough bad stuff and fishing expeditions in my life to know that different people are treated differently by cops. I also know that the likelihood of a bad cop getting a punishment more than a couple days at home is really slim.

I find it really funny that people complain about how hard it is to fire union employees but turn a blind eye when its the police unions protecting their own bad members. Bring up auto workers, teachers, random government employees and union hate is all over the place. Days of police talk and I haven't heard a peep.

LarryT?

I read plenty of negative comments on the way the police acted in the Garner case. Go read the thread on it and see if you think people are giving the cops a pass on this incident.
Versus the Wilson situation.

Bad cops should be fired period. But even in this Garner case I don't know enough to call for the cop's firing.

Now in the case of Huis cop friend IF he really did say in a serious way that body cams would take all the fun out of HE is a cop that needs to be investigated.

Yea, actually I have been, they mistaken my car for a car that was just in a hit and run, I had 15 deputy sheriffs with their guns pulled and my face in a mud puddle.

The other time, I was a wise *** to the cop, I was sitting in Jail within 30 minutes for no reason.

You point out one person in over 300 million that has been pulled over 256 times, I am sure he is an innocent person who has never done anything wrong.

LOL, I love the perception that people have when they think they can do no wrong.......

Tough internet guy that faces such discrimmination!!!!

Facts that you presented, you should be looting in Ferguson with your facts as that has more credibility.

Steps down off the soap box with his hands raised.......I'm out.......
