Chainsaws - Best?

I am in the market for my first chanisaw. I am willing to spend more $ to get quality.

Will use around the house to clear a few cedars, then most use will be at deer lease for firewood and clearing of shooting lanes.

Any suggestions?

Husqvarna (spelling?) also makes a good one. I have an Echo that I think is great, and a Poulan that is impossible to start.

My Stihl works great. For what you want to do, get a saw with a handle like a gas pump, not the other kind that is for use up in trees.

my landscaper only uses Husqvarna chainsaws. He recommended the 335XP for my dad and he loves it. Very light and tons of power. Review

Whatever you do, go to SEARS at the Hancock Center to get one. That is where I work. Hopefully I can get the sale and make the comission.

I worked for a tree company once upon a time and all we used was Stihl. But since then I've heard that some Stihl's are made in the U.S. while other models are still made in Germany. Get a German model.

I ma down to a Sthil or Husqvarna...

I have read great consumer reports on both. All things being equal, I guess I will have to hold both and go by which one feels best..
