Chad Morris has a job...

Probably good for the High School. He won a couple of HS state championships at Lake Travis so he should do well. As far as him being an HC again in the college ranks, he did well at SMU but did a faceplant at Arkansas.
 
There was an expert around here who used to pound his fists that he would be the next great head coach at Texas. He didn't hurt his fists, I assume, because this guy was a real slugger.
 
Morris gets a new payday at Allen for three years. His Teachers State Retirement Trust will be based on the average of his last three years salary, that is assuming he can survive three years as HC there.

Can he parlay that gig into enough pressure to get Linc to release his son to transfer to TCU?

Good point. I live in McKinney, just next to Allen and know some people around that program. Allen HS has high football expectations and there is pressure there... but probably not like Arky. His pedigree from success at Lake Travis will also be a factor.

I'm not sure Arkansas had "expectations" since Tyson never offered to sell him a lot or offered him a club membership. Even Butch Davis has those.

But wait, isn't their a parallel to that over in Brazos County?

I don't know. I'm just thinking they have done jack since they left the SWC. Why should expect anything besides the suckitude that is Arky?

Well, WE certainly don't give a rats *** about arky and most of us believe them leaving the SWC was a football death knell for them.

arky, like our lil' brother aggy, and Nebraska to a certain degree - I think they all HATED... HATED TEXAS so much and being mostly dominated by UT they had to leave to go to the SEC SEC SEC / Big 10 to get routinely beaten by stronger teams and programs but ones they hate far far less than TEXAS.

Zackly! No team that's left "us" on their own has done jack-squat in football. And the piggies left about 87 years ago. Let that stink sink in!

Oh, and don't forget Co and Mo.
 
Good move as the recruiting at Allen is easier than at Arky. The only recruiting competition that rivals Allen would be Southlake, but it’s hard to get parents a valid address In Southlake as they do not allow apartments.
