CG watching in Austin

I went to the Rose Bowl in '06 but am not able to go this year. Is there any place in Austin that has a big game watching party outside of the bar scene. What was it like on campus after the game? Was it worth getting down there to be a part of it? My B-I-L and I are thinking of meeting in Austin to watch the game and am wondering what options we have.

I think Alamo Drafthouse is showing it at all locations. It's in hi-def and admission is free. We watched the Big XII CG at the Alamo Ritz and it was a blast.

I know that the Alamo Drafthouse @ Lake Creek showed the last NC game we went to.. I remember rushing out of there to get to Academy sports to get a hat and shirt (and then to go downtown to take pictures of the Tower)..

Took me 5 minutes to get to Academy and the line was out the store and half-way around the building.

Looking for a repeat this season.

Yeah, at my house, if I can't get tickets. But the Alamo Ritz does sound like fun.
Why doesn't UT show it at the Erwin Center, and sell some good microbrews to go with it? That wouldn't suck.

We watched the A&M game at Cuatro on 24th about 5 blocks west of Guadalupe. watches US/Mexico soccer there also. Good crowd, lots of TVs including one that covers a whole wall.
