CFP hopes are alive, if barely

I feel your skepticism, @mchammer. But losses by Clemson and Alabama opened the door a bit. A few more oddball losses by contenders and some undeserving (or “less deserving”) teams could squeak in.

We were out of CFP the day Neyor and Angilou got hurt.
Gotta disagree. We were right in the thick of things after the Bama loss. Had we beaten either Tech (more important) or OSU, we would still be deep in the conversation. The fact that we are even on the fringe of the discussion tells me that the college football world is paying attention to this team. Pundants like Klatt certainly are…

Yes but having a good 2nd WR and another experienced lineman probably lead to victories against 2/3 of the losses.

I like Klatt’s take on the Longhorns, but he might still be in concussion protocol from 2005.

If we beat TCU, Kansas, Baylor, TCU we would be 10-3. How can that make the playoffs?

BTW, there have been years of old that those could have been the worst three teams in the country. Now they are all “scary” for us.

CFP is out,Lets just hope we can beat TCU. That would be a major accomplishment for this team. If this team could go 7-5 or 8-4,I feel like this would lead us next year to possible playoffs.
