Deferring to position coaches? Perhaps he is now holding them accountable. Apparently, he did not do that in recent years, at least according to all the rumors of complacency on the coaching staff. Why shouldn't they be made to answer for their coaching?

Define fire. You want him to throw a Will Muschamp fit on the sidelines?

I guess in regards to the best CEO's... they don't know everything that goes on with in a company but know who to ask when there is a question regarding a certain aspect. They always have the answer or can get the answer quickly. They are well informed by their presidents and managers.

Fire for me would be to have Mack stand up there and provide the answers himself. I would like to know that he has gone to Harsin, to Diaz, to all the assistants and has actually talked to them and gotten the information he needs to be able to answer these questions. He is the head coach after all.

It just seems like he is kind of doing what he did last year and passing the buck. "You need to ask Harsin", "I am just watching like you". Granted these answers have come after loosing a game but com on. 5 million dollars a year... you would think the guy would be able to meet with his coaches and understand what the Game Plan is. Why they are choosing one set of starters over another. I don't see the other big time coaches skirt questions with a "you have to ask..." at other universities.
