Central Arkie vs. Texas

C. Arkie gets a single.
Texas gets two singles.
Neither team scores.
Scoreless after 3 complete.

The score is tied at 1 all, sorry had to run an errand.
I don't know what happened.

Score tied at 1 all in the bottom of the fifth.

No score in the bottom of the 4th at TCU against
Aggy.

Maitland leads off with single and comes around
to score somehow as I brought in the groceries.

Horns lead 2-1 to the sixth.

Bellows comes in to pitch and with one out
gives up an infield single and a walk.

That's all for him as Curtis comes in to pitch.

Curtis gives up a single to tie it at 2 all.

Etier boots a dp ball and then throws high
to first for an error. Bases loaded now.

Felts attempts to pick the runner off third.
His hand hits the batter's bat and the
batter is called out on interference.

The throw was wild into left field without that
call. Then Curtis gets out of the inning on a K.

Bottom of the sixth tied at 2 all

Nothing for Texas in the sixth
C. Arkie threatens but doesn't score.
Stretch time tied at 2 all.

In Fort Worth TCU leads 1-0 over Aggy in the 7th.

With two outs Payton triples and Stell singles to
give Texas a 3-2 lead. Summers in to run for Stell.
Weis rolls to the pitcher.

To the 8th Texas leads now 3-2.

Knebel starts on the mound in the 8th to get this
crappy game over it seems.

He retires them in order and it's to the bottom of
the 8th Texas leading 3-2.

Walsh leads off with a routine fly ball to right that
for some reason the right fielder decides not to
catch. It lands right in front of him and they give
Walsh a double.

Silver follows with a single, but Walsh is held at
third, pitching change for C. Arkie.

C. Arkie brings the infield in and for some reason
just lets Silver trot to second, for I guess a fielder's
indifference and not a steal.

Felts with the SF to score Walsh and it's Texas
leading 4-2, another pitching change.

Marlow and Etier both strike out and it's winning
time for Knebel in the top of the 9th.

Texas leads 4-2.

Thanks for the updates, for those of us stuck at work tonight.

Not a pretty win but a win. These mid week games really highlight the offensive deficiency with this team and force Texas to use pitchers far more than is healthy and sustainable. Knebel with two more innings tonight added to a huge body of work this year already.

Big series with aggy who look like they are going to beat TCU coming up, really need to take 2 out of 3 and a sweep would be super sweet.

Knebel works around Etier's third throwing error of
the game and a walk on some close pitches that
seemed to upset Knebel.

So he blows away the next two hitters on fastballs
for two K's to end it.

Texas wins 4-2 in a kind of go though the paces game, but it's a win.

In Fort Worth Aggy scores two runs in the 8th and lead now 2-1 over TCU as they go to the bottom
of the 8th.

It's over in Cowtown and Froggy falls apart in the last
couple of innings giving up two in the 8th and two
more in the 9th as Aggy wins 4-1 to break their
5 game losing streak.
