some love it, some hate it, same with all carriers. if you have a buddy with Cingular have him/her come over to make sure you get reception where you live. if they have time take them to the places you use it the most (home, work, favorite stalker place, etc)
I've had Cingular a couple years now and don't have a problem with it. I know that if you sign up with Cingular and if within two weeks(or 30 days I forget which one) you realize you have bad reception you can cancel your contract without penalty. I don't think any other company offers this. I have about 1k rollover minutes because basically everyone I talk to is Cingular so those minutes don't get charged. This also includes AT&T wireless customers since the two merged. They even have an internet special right now where you get a free Razor phone with new activation.
