Cell Company Question regarding bargain 4 contract

My one year contract w/ TMobil ends this month. I am very happy with their service and will stay with them so that is not the issue. They have offered me an extra 50 minutes of whenever time for the same price as I pay now. Yeah, okay, but I don't use the minutes I have already.

So how do I go about haggling w/ them to maybe get an upgrade on my phone or a good rebate on a phone? I have the basic one and like it a lot but would not mind a better one, lol.

So if you have done this before, tell me what they will say at first, after I ask them about it, so on and so forth. Thanks.

Loop, as a veteran of T-Mobile Customer Service let me start by saying, whatever you do, do not enter into a new contract. It's a ploy. Tell them you are happy with their service, but have been a loyal customer and would like the extra minutes. Say you have some friends with other companies and hear enticing offers all the time. If the person you speak to won't budge, as for their higher-up. I guarantee you can get those minutes for free.

I don't care about the minutes, I want a phone or some cash off a phone, lol. But yeah, you would know about how TMobil works, and then some. I guess if I can get the extra minutes, cool, never even get close to using my minutes though.

so you don't really care about the minutes, then thats fine.ask fr their Customer Retention department, take their ******** 50 minutes (but why not ask or get more...a ******* hour? why not five?) ask for a new or discounted "handset" even maybe a refirbished one.

the downside is.....your from what you post a cheap account, cost of business for a new account or keeping an account aside...you are not making them money. acquiring new business costs $, ahndsets are a loss leader. this a business deal, whats in it for them?

Loop, I apologize for replying before reading the whole post (I was kinda in a hurry when I ready it). TMobile has an unwritten policy of a once-a-year upgrade program for phones. If you have not upgraded your phone in at least a year, then you should be able to for free or great discount.

Good point next. I am just one account. And the minutes to them is like when a manager of a restaurant offers to buy sodas for the table. Those cost under a nickel for them to give out, but we see it as a dollar or so per. They are not giving much nor losing much. But they do it to hope I come back, if I don't, they only lost 25 cents for five.

Other than me alluding to maybe them losing a customer to another carrier, which somebody is doing the same to the other carrier, I don't have much to hang over their heads.

68, thanks. I guess I will go and check out which phone to try to get at discount. I am thinking that camera phones quality has gotten much better since they first came out. I think it would be fun to take shots of stuff I see while working (I see some funny stuff, some sexy stuff, stuff) and be able to send it to people.

wouldn't you have to sign a new contract if you want to get the free (or discounted) phone upgrade?
