Who else saw celebrities at the games last night? I walked right next to Matt Schaub and Eric Winston. Roger Clemens was walking right towards me and I was like, "damn, that's Roger Clemens". He walked right on by with his kids and kept going. The best part about those sightings was that the guys just milled around and no one really bothered them.
The same couldn't be said for Magic Johnson. Before my friend and I made our way to seats right across the isle from him, we could see he was swamped at half time with autograph requests. Eventually when we got to sit right across from him things subsided a little. However, he had to constantly tell people "not during the game". All in all, he was very accommodating.
We got to move up some more and made the front row about 5 rows in front of Magic. Steve Mariucci sat right behind me with his family. Right next to Mooch was John Smoltz and his son. T-Mac was also on the front row with us but more towards the middle. His brother plays for Memphis.
Obviously, I saw some NBA people as well. Pretty cool overall. Vince was there based on the photo a friend sent me, but I never saw him.
Sunday I won't forget my camera, but I doubt I will have the luck seeing people nor the access to the seats we got during the 2nd half of the Memphis game.
