Has us moved up to a 5-seed playing in the Michigan State bracket. I'll take it for the first two rounds...although playing MSU in Detroit would obviously not be an advantage.

I have a hard time seeing us be moved up to a 5-seed. My thinking when coming into the conference tournament was that if we played to the championship game we could move up to a 6-seed.

I would take that bracket in a sec. Siena and FSU gets us the the sweet 16. With that said, our bracket will probably look nothing like that.

We should be ecstatic with the CBS bracket. CNNSI's Glockner still has us (as of this morning) as a 8 seed facing Ohio State in the 1st round, with North Carolina wating for us in round 2. Something has to give. Realistically, with our RPI mid 30's and our schedule strength in lower 40"s, I don't think the 5 seed is defensable. I think 7 seed is where we land. Brackets are like ********, we all have one.

Obviously there are divergent views on what kind of team Texas is. I think the eight-seeders are looking at what they see right now, in terms of struggling on offense and making several games close. Palm is looking at what they've accomplished, and the fact that they've won seven of their last 10.

Texas is not an 8 seed. There is just no way you can look at their body of work and say that there are 35 teams in the nation that ought to be seeded higher.

A five seed to me is a stretch, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. I'd be happy with a 6 personally.

a&m blowing a 22-pt lead and failing to double-team a guy hitting 29 straight points, should put them no higher than the play-in game

ahh I do believe i called Texas getting a 5 seed in another thread.

The way Texas has played near the end of the season I have them between a 6 and 8 seed, since mid season they have not looked very good and right now it seems all they have going for them is Dexter.

Indy I think I did screw my math up. That makes us a 29-32 ranked team, and I still stand by it. Bear in mind, we're not talking about how this team has "looked", because no one has watched them more than we have. No one in the room tomorrow is going to say "yeah but this is how they looked against x or y", they'll look at body of work and quality wins.

I hope that's wrong. I'd rather not play Temple in Philly. If we're a 7, how 'bout v. Michigan in KC?

(& send kansas somewhere else)
