Grayland Arnold ..... Kountze (Kountze, TX)
3-star ..... CB ..... 5-10/180 ..... Baylor

Although commited to Baylor, Arnold was very excited by his Texas offer - after all, his sister played some hoops for the Horns so he feels the UT love:

At Kountze, Arnold plays both CB and WR and would like to continue that in college. He boasts a 4.4/40 and 4.3/shuttle.

Per IT:
Arnold’s pound-for-pound one of the toughest players in the state. He can play corner, slot, and also feature in the return game. The offer makes sense for many reasons. One, I mentioned a while back is if he’s offered I believe he flips. As for appearances, this is bad for Baylor and good for Texas, and could also help get the gears turning with 5-star offensive tackle, Patrick Hudson. I don’t think flipping Arnold is a game-changer with Hudson but it sure wouldn’t hurt.

Per Rivals on his performance at the Texas 7-on-7 Championships:
Arnold did a little bit of everything for Kountze. He played some quarterback, some receiver, and he was an INT waiting to happen on defense. His explosive playmaking stole the show on Day 1. In the secondary, he was able to bait quarterbacks and then jump routes to make plays. He grabbed batted balls and he turned INTs into TDs. On offense, he showed off a big arm and at receiver his quick feet and explosive burst were on full display.
