CB Gone to the NFL

Another player opts out of Bowl Game - if there is one. Just wondering, that’s 3 defensive players headed to the NFL. How did we lose 3 games and have such a bad defense? Hmm

Chris Brown is ready to flex on the NFL, as the senior safety opted out of the #Texas bowl game to begin preparations for the 2021 NFL Draft.

You have to wonder if there's going to be a combine. Doesn't really matter as he won't be invited. I can see pro days. Either way he's 7th round or FA.

Is this true? I think he is my all-time least favorite Longhorn. Gonna think on that and see if I come up with anyone else.

He’s a UFA at best. Depends on how many seniors and juniors declare for the draft whether he’s drafted or a UFA. I don’t see him making a team. But, stranger things have happened.

My rankings of least favorite (coaches included obviously) off the top of my head:

1. Chris Brown
2. Chris Brown
3. Chris Simms
4. John Mackovic
5. Manny Diaz
6. Charlie Strong
7. Michael Dickson Freshman version (he became all time great but man he was awful at the beginning, seemed every kick was a shank or dropped snap)
8. Ramonce Taylor for wasting talent
9. Drew Mehringer i guess

Other than the rather embarrassing flexing, IMO, he's been a good player for the Horns. Don't know if he'll be drafted, but I wish him well.
Fine. You are a better man than me. I am allergic to the flex I think. Especially after first down gains. I just don't get it.

Its popular in the black culture. I don’t care for it but he made some key plays. I don’t like it when two players jump up and turn and bump hips in the air, when Running backs pretend they are eating a bowl of Cereal or the dreaded Folded arm pose.

You forgot the Superman ripping off shirt melodrama.

If you are not projected to go in the first couple of rounds, players should keep in college and work on their skills. It’s very difficult to make it as a late round pick or undrafted. No impossible, but teams have very little invested in late pick, so at the slightest injury, bad play, or even roster room, they are cut.

Then begins the cycle of various practice squads, hoping for a chance to play, at low play.

Against most advice, L Humpery came out a few years ago - and it has not worked out for him.

Well, my problem is the stupid flex after losing the play. Way too often he was flexing after a tackle 15 yards downfield. Or when a receiver dropped a pass after running by him. That kinda crap. Flex all you want after a legit stick or breakup or pick or TFL.

On top of that when we were getting thrashed by our opponent.

Me too. The game sucked, James Brown was horrible and we made Jim Drunkenmiller look all-world awesome. New Year's Eve on Bourbon Street after the game helped me to forget it, at least for a little while.
I was at Pat O’s during the game.
