Cat in Pro Softball Championship Series

Cat's team (Rockford) has made it to the final, best two of thee championship series. They lost the first game of the series last night. Games 2 and (if necessary) 3 will be played this afternoon beginning at noon central. Cat did not pitch last night, so you will probably see an epic battle between her and Monica Abbott at noon. monica mows them down in the top of the first

cat gets out of trouble in the bottom of the first by starting a double play on a grounder hit right back at her. no strike-outs--everybody hit the ball,

since I am just talking to myself, I'm gonna watch the rest of the game and not bore myself with any more of my posts.

update to myself--

through 5, score is 0-0. monica has struck out 6; cat has struck out 7. cat has allowed more hits though

after Rockford finally scored a run in the top of the sixth, Cat got pumped up and struck out all three batters (top of the order) in the bottom of the sixth.

Megan Willis just hit a solo homer in the top of the seventh for Rockford. I think it's cool that Texas battery mates are still together in the pro championship series, and still making us horns proud.

game over--rockford wins 2-0. cat strikes out three more in the last inning. ends with 13 strike-outs. so the rubber match will begin in about 30 minutes.
