so i'm looking to take this girl out to a decent place but nothing fancy, just casual and then to lake travis for minature golf at daybreak, any good places to eat around there?

also if anyone can tell me about the minature golf there that would be great. i bet most ppl here are fans of peter pans, but she likes the lake.

FYI: Los Pinos looks dumpy, but the food is very good.

Other suggestions: Thai Spice (good Thai food); Iguana Grill (decent food, great view); Carlos n' Charlie's

I swear last year when I was looking for lakeside restaurants i found one that had a mini golf course attached or nearby, in the Spicewood area. And I swear it was featured on the news during the floods because nothing was open at the place but the mini golf. But now I can't find anything on it. I wonder if it closed.

Cafe Blue is still open, although they reversed the "e" and the "u". The menu is a little bit more "upscale" and they expanded the wine list. We ate there Saturday for the first time in 2 years and it was pretty good. It seems expensive for what it is but the food is much better than Carlos and Charlie's and cost about the same. I had a badass Jamaican Jerk Burger. I recommend it.

Does anyone know what they are planning on doing with what used to be Aunt Tilly's? It's been closed since last summer's flood. I've also heard that Sail and Ski now own that property.
