Cassie Peoples a McD's AA

Men's team will also have a representative on the boy's team: Myck Kabongo, for those interested in watching.

commentators talking about the injuries to Texas after Peoples scored on a pretty floater. They are expecting a big year from Texas.

Cassie is wearing #4 (black). Wonder if that's just an assigned number or the one she normally likes to wear? Tiff had # 4 last season. Don't think she will give it if she likes it.

I remember the first time I saw at the summer camp. She was about 5-4 and stocky. Quite a change to now. Abby Waner talking about her hesitation move. Cassie has passed the ball while I'm still wondering what she is going to do. She does do a good job of getting inside and shooting that floater.

kinda surprised that Cassie was the only incoming frosh in the McD game from the Big 12.

I liked her passing. Some timing problems trying to connect with teammates but that was to be expected with so little practice together. She either has big hands or has glue on her fingers the way she was able to pass and handle the ball with one hand.

I didn't catch the game, unfortunately. Babhorn, can you explain what you mean about Waner commenting on Cassie's hesitation move? Didn't really understand that.

A.Wanner was talking about C.Peoples being what Texas needs. She did ok not to know the players she was playing with. She is a general on the floor! Great float shoot. I luv her hesitation move. She can change her speed on a drop of a dime. C.Peoples, C.Reed, C.Fussell cant wait to see these 3 players on the floor along with Nneka and K.Brewer
Its going to be exciting next year.

West's Cassie Peoples of San Antonio, Texas tries to dribble past East's Allyson Malott of Middletown, Ohio.

box score

Cassie was 2-8 from the field for 5 pts, had 6 TOs and four steals. Wish she had shot better but she showed a nice floater in the paint. I'm not worried about the TOs since the 3/4s of the game I watched, the TOs she made were passes that were just a bit off. I did like the four steals. Cassie had a nice hesitation move, basically slow down and go by the defender and showed nice court awareness. She will certainly be able to push the ball up the floor either by dribbling or by passing. I don't know if she starts at PG but won't be surprised to see her log a lot of minutes there.

Another article by Full Court Press on the game. Lots of neat pics. Roster at the end lists players heights and is probably the last time we fans will see weights listed next to their heights.
