i had a full plate at opie's at 1, birthday cake and watermelon at the office at 4, and yet i could crush that burger right now just from looking at that picture.

Over on Quackenbush they have a thread called "Post a picture you took". You should post that burger. It's looks great.
 
Oh yes, Casino is very, very good. Allsome, in fact. I certainly did not mean to imply otherwise. It's just that Chris Madrid's is better.
 
I have a feeling that most of the people that will say that about Chris Barcelona's or whatever have to live in San Antonio and don't get to live in Austin for whatever reason. Nothing wrong with SA other than it is not Austin but don't hate or make things up.

I will be having a CM's in about two weeks, we'll see. My decision will be final.
 
Chris Madrid's is good, no doubt. The macho tostada burger is teh sex.

But a Casino burger is a mouth orgy. A mouth orgy featuring Megan Fox, Marissa Miller, Jessica Alba and And Jessica Biel.

Seriously, you can't compare the two. They are completely different style of hamburgers. Chris Madrids is a thin patty that is cooked until its completely well done, and honestly the meat itself is a bit dry (tasty, but dry nonetheless) Casino is a thick patty that is cooked until its about medium and its juicy as hell.

I'd take a Casino Burger any day over Chris Madrid's, and I've eaten at both places many many times (originally from the SA area). The drive is much shorter and I don't have to deal with kids underfoot. And the burger is better.
 
Juicy as hell indeed. I like how light reflects off the grease and how the grease permeates the bottom bun.

What kind of cheese is that, which holds the jalepenos in place so nicely?
 
First of all, those are seranos, not jalepeños.

Second of all, I think that it is pepper jack cheese.
 
Where is Casino? and does it serve anything other than burgers?
Do they have waits at certain times?

Casino is on 6th Street. Yes, that 6th Street. It is not a restaurant. It is a bar. In that sense, the term "wait" doesn't really apply because you are not "seated." You order your burger from a somewhat grumpy individual through a window in the back. You buy your drinks separately at the bar. You can put your burger on your bar tab. If you don't have tats and a pierced neck but you do have delicate sensibilities, you might feel a little out of place. The Amarillo Burger (pictured) is ******* awesome. It's ******* hot, though, so if you have capsaicin issues, avoid it. They might serve stuff other than burgers, but I've never really paid attention.

Note: this post is not meant to imply that people with tats and pierced necks cannot have delicate sensibilities.
 
I know they serve chili cheese fries, and they used to serve buffalo wings. Casino was part of my "only eat chicken wings for lunch and dinner for a week" contest with a few other guys after college around 2001. It was the greatest week of my life. 14 wing joints in one week. Heaven.
 
that indeed looks like one tasty sandwich. It is clearly not a buger though.. it has mayo on it.... Burgers don't have mayo.
 
I've heard about 'real' burgers like that... I hear they come from Ohio and have mayo AND catsup on them...... wow.... sorry mate, but real burgers have mustard...
 
THEU, that burger would kick your *** all the way across Texas. Take your *** to Whataburger if you want mustard on your burger, go to Casino if you want the best burger in Austin, and yes, even without mustard it's head and shoulders above anything else in Austin.
