Has anyone had a recent experience with this?
I have an empty rental house in Austin that needs 106 square yards of Berber carpet and padding replaced (including stairs), as well as removal, haul-off, and labor...the whole she-bang. Nothing fancy.
Someone I know had their brother give me an estimate of about $3000, which was supposed to be a friend price. I decided to call America's carpet and tile to see if it was reasonable, and their estimate was over $1000 less.
Anyone have any recommendations or recent experience, because I'm really in the dark here?
