Carpet DISGUSTING with new puppy stains

Any recommendations of a good carpet cleaning service in the Austin area that can get rid of these spots? The carpet looks pretty bad! Is carpet replacement my only option?

We have 4 dogs so sometimes have issues like that. I bought a steam cleaner a while back from Orek. It works pretty well. We have had Deep Eddy Carpet Cleaners come a few times and they do a good job but the smell always comes back--I think that is just the nature of carpet.

I've heard of places that charge a lot that will basically replace soiled fibers of the carpet and that it works pretty well but if it is just regular carpet getting rid of it is your best bet.

how is your carpet getting that screwed up?

right when my puppy would start to pee on the floor, i would yank him up fast and put him out.

I was always able to use nature's miracle and never had any staining issues.

If it was on your carpet long enough to soak into the pad underneath, your screwed, and most likely it even soaked into your cement slab.

Wait till hes housebroken, replace carpet, pad, and mop the slab with bleach.

Or better yet, tile the carpeted area in question.

We just purchased a house with the same problem these people did a great job. Certified Cleaning 459-3478 they got out the red wine stains also.

Just put a ******* bullet in the head of that miserable...oh wait, I forgot that's reserved for all animals except for dogs on this board...

After our last dawg died we replaced all our living area carpet with ceramic tile.

Yeah, the "favorite" accident spots had stained the concrete.

There is a lot to be said for keeping them contained to a room that has a mopable flooring until they get the hang of potty training. We would put our pup outside right after he ate or drank. Just like the kids, the pup always seemed to need to "go" right after he ate or drank anything. Also, put him out first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

I know a lot of people kennel their dogs during the day but I just hate to put an animal in that small of a space for several hours. A bathroom or utility room that has been puppy proofed with paper laid down to paper train as well as train to go outside was a better solution for us.

Oh, forgot to add that voteforhank was right in stating you probably need to replace the carpet if it has soaked thru to the pad. Cleaning it will get rid of the smell for a bit, but it will come back. I would wait until the pup is housebroken or replace with ceramic tile.

during housebreakinng, my dog peed three times, where he completed the act without me catching him and correcting him.

he never, seriously, never crapped on the floor.

The reason was that we watched him every single second, which is difficult to do, but worth it. at 10 weeks, after we had him two weeks, he was pawing the door.

i have housebroken manyt dogs, and this was y far the only time where i really did it by the book, and it sure as **** worked.

Ten years from now you'll come home from a trip and the first thing you'll smell is the urine in your carpet. It will never go away unless you replace it.

My cat had a UTI last year and still pees in areas outside the litter box. Because I'm too lazy to retrain her, and too nice to make her stay outside, I compensated by putting down training pads and purchased a Hoover SteamVac, which works wonders. Don't hire a carpet cleaning company, and just do it yourself.
