Care of a skillet

Just had my first steak cooked on a cast iron - tasted delicious. I really liked how it came out - soooo juicy.

Anyway, I want to make sure I'm using the right brush to clean it - any suggestions? What else do I need to know about taking care of a cast iron skillet. I just wash it with hot water and a brush, dry it and then leave a light coat of Pam.

Can we sticky those threads, because I was looking for them too. They are probably the most useful thing on hornfans. Check that -they are probably the only useful thing on hornfans.

Beam,

Then you obviously aren't looking to buy a smoker or wanting to learn how to smoke a brisket or ribs

I live in an apt, so no, not just yet. Although I do have the schematics for a couple from those threads saved on my computer for the future.
