Car recommendations

We attended the state fair yesterday and the kids loved climbing and checking out the new cars. However, the ones they like, don't fit for me as I'm 6'3 and even with the seat in the lowest position, I have to recline the seat too far to be able to see through the front window.

The Honda Element is one that fits for me, however I'm ambivalent about it. The Subaru Forester worked for me as well.

We currently have honda odyssey which is constantly full of soccer equipment, in-season-sports equipment and band instruments. This is substituted for camp gear intermittently throughout the year.

Does anyone have any tangible experience of the Forester or Element or any other recommendations? Thanks.

Element is great car, as are most all Honda's, but the question comes down to, "does it work for you?" The millage isn't that great for a Honda, and it's remarkably slow and uninspiring to drive. Do you need or want the available all wheel drive? Something I would consider, that's in the same arena as those two in regards to space is the Scion xB. It might be too small for you (be sure to check out the newly designed one before you make up your mind). In all honesty, if it were me, and I knew the subie would work, I'd choose that one over the element, but if I knew the xB would work for me, I'd pocket the extra 8k or more I'd save on the subie.
