Car CD Player stopped playing CDs

It still recognizes that there is a CD inserted, but it won't read the tracks or anything. It will stop reading after about 15 seconds and just go back to the radio.

The CD player is in my girlfriend's car, it is an afermarket in-dash player made by JVC.

It seems to me like there is something wrong with the lens, maybe it got dirty, is there anything that will clean a car CD player's lens? It has been in the car and worked fine for about 2 and half years, but just started doing this recently.

Does it play burned or copied cd's and is the cd one of those? Yes, the lens get dirty. I think you can spray some condensed air that you use on your keyboard to clean it.

If its under warranty take it back to where you bought it.....If not you may be screwed.

Unless it's less than a year old your ******. go get a new one, they are not that expensive.
