Car Battery Fell Over

Bought a new battery for the car and it was in my trunk for a few days. I guess it turned over on its side and it appears nothing has leaked out, but it crystallized a case of beer I had back there, so something is up.
Any actions I can take so that it doesn't corrode the trunk?

Deer god man...where are your priorities??? Sorry, dont have any suggestions for ya...

Baking soda neutralizes battery acid. It is cheap, buy a box, sprinkle it around liberally, leave it for awhile, vacuum it up later. Or if there is liquid there, use water and baking soda, and sop it up with old towels, and repeat a few times, then leave the dry baking soda in the trunk awhile.

One or more cells may be empty, in which case the battery won't last very long, but it may not have lost much acid and be OK. Are the caps removable? If so, pry them off and see if any cells are low on liquid, which should be up to the bottom of some plastic rings built into each round opening a couple of inches down from the top of the battery.
Otherwise, go ahead and use it, but it may or may not last the four years it should last.
