If we can't afford to deport then how can we pay to fly, bus, transport any of these people further inland away from the border? Why not let them in with the caveat that they pay their own way, no benefits of any kind for the first 10 years they are here? At least that way they will be forced to be productive people and not leaching from the system from day one.

What about the environmental impact of flying these people? How much does each immigrant cost us in terms of greenhouse gases to transport them across the country?

Money is no issue when you are talking about a flood of future dem/lib voters. Like Nancy P said last week.........."it's an opportunity".

So this Dem rep, Eric Swalwell from Calif asks during the hearing,
"Nobody has presented me with a good way to return a Guatemalan teenager to Guatemala."

Hey Swalwell Here is an idea
use the charters to fly them to their home countries and their parents. what could be more humanitarian than that?

better than sending them to cities here in USA saying it is a safer place? Chicago has had 21 shootings Friday and sat.
New Orleans? Houston?Detroit? Philadelphis?

This is part of a research project I did over a two year period. Looking at US encroachment and the costs for doing it. How the people of other countries suffer due to foreign policy intervention by the US government.
Acts carried out as shown here, have lasting effects and lead to failed-states that take decades to recover. This example is but one. There are many. The unwanted longterm effects are called BLOWBACK.

There is a NYTimes article reporting that since April NO has allowed 240.000 illegals most from Central America to be sent into cities all around the country.
since april 240,000!
This does NOT include the over 50k illegal kids.

I can't access NYTimes online so I can't provide a link
But I don't think the NYTimes is a right wing blog.

Need to treat those from Central America the same as the law reads for those from Canada and Mexico.

Given the nature of politics, as it is, we have to live with the cesspool slime of political power. Corrupts the morals and judgement.

When the proverbial stuff hits the fan, nothing truly obvious and sane gets done. Only politically expedient things get done. Or a thing is not done.

Should the homeless in America get same or better treatment than the illegal immigrants streaming into the country? Since we have unlimited funds why not help them as well? Can we find more people from other countries across the world to fly in since we seem to have the money to fly anyone anywhere? I need to fly to Seattle to see my mom, can I get a voucher?

Where does government draw the line on how it can spend our tax dollars? This is not insignificant money being, in my opinion, unfairly spent on these people who don't, or shouldn't, have the rights that current citizens have.

Why not cut the Homeland security budget or some other budget, at least, to make up for the bad decision making of the current Administration who is allowing this to happen.(no matter why or how it originated)

What do you think?

Speaking of laws that Bush signed, what about the Secure Fence Act of 2006? He said when he signed it "This bill will help protect the American people. This bill will make our borders more secure. It is an important step toward immigration reform."

When will Yomama and Holder enforce that law?
