Cannoli Joe's

The wife and I went there last night. Despite the cheesy exterior, the overall experience is not bad. They've done a nice job on the interior, with about six different dining rooms varying in size. The food court - called "Villagio" - offers an extensive selection from salads, soups, pasta, beef, chicken and pork dishes, appetizers, and a dessert bar. Food is cooked in small quantities so as to keep it hot and fresh throughout the dining hours.

Only drawback is the crowd at peak hours. Lots of kids walking around with parents, darting here and there, so there are accidents wating to happen. The path through Villagio food court is not that wide to begin with and it can get crowded. Best bet - get there when they open.

We'll be going back.

Went to a soft opening a couple of weeks ago, wifes friends husband is a manager at County Line. Thought the food was pretty damn good, and the deserts were also excellent. I could see how it could turn into a cluster **** when busy.

Echo the other reviews. It was better than expected, as I was prepared for an Italian version of Pancho's. We went early, as we always do with our little ones. I can imagine the whole buffet area is going to be unbearable when that place is crowded.

We went on a weeknight and it was very good (much better than I expected). $12.99 was the price then, as i recall....

All you can eat italian? My God. I can't even imagine the calories. Probably better off eating a double with cheese from Whataburger.

There's absolutely nothing I enjoy more than watching the human element pushing and shoving at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Manners? Forget it. Think of a pack of hyenas feeding - now, do you want that kind of dining experience?

Been to Cannoli Joe's a couple of times (wife and kids wanted to try it). Had low expectations going in. I was expected a typical all-you-can-eat place, but I was pleasantly surprised. They broke up the various rooms and serving areas, so only small portions are prepared at a time and it didn't feel overly crowded. The food quality was also very good. Bruschetta, roasted chicken, pork chops, homemade desserts, plus the usual pizzas and pastas. As a tip to County Line (part investor), their BBQ Chicken Pizza is excellent.

Finally gave it a try. Food was on par with or slightly below Macaroni Grill. Buffet area was basically a clusterfuck. No uniform line, everyone zig zagging to different food. Waitstaff was very attentive but hostesses were clueless.

All in all, I'm glad I checked it out. Will probably never go again. I can't see it surviving past Jan 1.
