...business lunch meeting? The boss man said he and the big wigs are coming to Austin for a one day regional business trip and he asked me to line up the spot. He said that downtown would be good so they could feel like they were getting to see Austin even though it would be a turn around flight. We need something that would have a good lunch menu, located downtown, and would give us a private room or area so we could work for 4 hrs. or so. Any suggestions?

To name a few:

Sullivan's
Shoreline Grill
Roy's
Ruth's Chris

Each of these have private dining room options.

Are you looking for upscale, or something with an Austin "flare"?

all depends. Do boss man and the big wigs gulp hard and complain about business dinner receipts and high expense reports? If so, adjust accordingly.

If your company pays handsomely and expects the full on treatment, you can't go wrong with the list in the above post. I would add Three Forks,Trulucks and Kenichi to that.

A tier below or something with a more Austin flair, but still downtown would be Taverna, Malaga, Threadgills, Lambert's, Stubb's, Ironwork's, Cantina Laredo,..... Spaghetti Warehouse (just kidding on that one).

Not sure the availability to camp in a private room for 4 hours though. So maybe my list is not all that helpful.
