As a Special Assistant to Rick Barnes? I think Rick needs lesson number 2 in how to construct an offense that actually has screens and movement. We've gotten away from what we were doing the first 25 games and gone back to the old 1-man-dribble-while-4-stand-around offense. Predictable results. In that type of offense, Dogus Balbay is useless because the other team doesn't have to guard him and they can double at will.

Im ok with Balbay missing but for the love of god just shoot the damn thing. At least keep the D somewhat honest.

I believe it was early last season when Barnes said he was trying to get Balbay to shoot more. Then he got hurt and I guess Barnes gave up on that, because I don't recall a single outside shot by Balbay this season.

It is so telling when Balbay's defender backs up to to within 10 feet of the basket and dares him to shoot. Even if he is only 50% from the line, those open shots should be easier than free throws.
