Can it get any easier for UCLA and KU?

geeze.. well other than UCLA sqeeking through aggy... the seeds have fallen all on those 2 brackets. meanwhile, our bracket and the east bracket stay mostly intact. i can't stand watching smug ucla coast through with pansy wins.. and KU as good as they are aren't going to have much challenge.. guess that's how the tourney falls, but it's still frustrating when my beloved horns and my fav team growing up (UNC) have much more difficult times ahead.

in my heart i think KU is the most talented team and should win it all, but yeah.. with their recent history and bill self, it was hard to put them through to the final 4 in my bracket.

Well, we just blew out a team that beat KU...........so I am not sure we should stamp their ticket to SA quite yet.

KU coulda run the season undefeated and I still wouldnt put them in my final four. Ive been burned too many times by Self's teams at KU. That was the only rule I had this year in filling out my bracket...find a logical game where they lose prior to the final four....so Wisconsin it is.

I have wisconsin over kansas as well. Perhaps I don't respect Kansas enough, but it just seems to me that their only truely great win is over Texas in the Conf. Tourney. Not that they scheduled a cake walk OOC, but they haven't really beaten anyone tough all year besides us.

Oh well, them's the breaks of a tournament. If they're as good as everyone makes em out to be they'll prove it vs Wisconsin and in San Antonio.

haha i LOVE it. Bucknell, Bradley, now the Badgers! ( semi theme )

UCLA's road is stupid easy. Even if the seeds did hold. We all know Duke didnt deserve a 2, UCONN w/ Price wasn't the greatest 4 either. ( Not to mention playing in Phoenix and Anaheim)

Texas has the best coach in the Sweet 16. And the best resume against top teams, compared to any other top team left in the tournament.

Remember this: No other team in all division one has wins against three of the top 5 regular season ranked teams -- two are #1 seeds in their region, one is a #2.

Repeat... NO OTHER TEAM IN THE COUNTRY has that on their resume.

No other team. None. Zip. Na-dah. None. Only Texas Longhorns have kicked royal *** in this manner -- and they will continue to do so for the next four games.

The net, please. Cut it down.

Bo Ryan, Ben Howland and Jay Wright aren't exactly slouches, either. I wouldn't swap Barnes for anyone, but there are a lot of really good coaches still in the tournament.

Feel free to argue about Bob Huggins, Bill Self, and a few of the other guys . . .

It's the style MSU plays that somewhat hides their talent. Sorta like us.

The teams that get out and run always "seem" like they have better players.

There are some very good coaches left in the Dance - the best I can recall in a long time.

In reply to the original post, it's a cliche but I wouldn't consider anyone that has made it this far to be a pushover. Several years back UNC and Wisconsin both made the final 4 as 8 seeds. I think UConn was probably pretty happy about their region final with George Mason, but that didn't work out too well for them.

Funny thing is, if A&M had pulled it out against UCLA (and I think they got hosed by the refs, though not sure that cost them the game), we could very well ended up facing the Aggies in the final four. Now, say what you want about A&M, but that matchup -- in San Antonio no less -- would have bee great for the sport of basketball in the state of Texas.

North Carolina has it pretty easy too. They haven't playing anyone, really. And all their games have been practically at home.

UCLA is going to face either Xavier or WVU.

Just based on performance so far in the tourney, I dont think UCLAs bracket is as easy as everyone may have thought.

Kansas OTOH looks like the real deal this time, but Wisconsin is a tough out, especially when they hit some threes.
