Can anyone tell me how i did with this diamond?

1.5 carot, signature ideal cut (best cut possible), vs2, color: G

i paid $8300 for this and a very simple white gold setting that we can modify if she wants. (setting was like $250)

i bought it in the jewelry district in downtown LA. i'm hoping i got a good deal.

If you're Jewish, your mother knows the mother of the guy you bought the diamond from, you noshed on some matzo ball soup as you were kibbitzing, and you closed the deal by putting your hands over the guys and saying something in Yiddish, then you probably got a good deal.

If you didn't, well then you probably did OK, but there was some room for the price to come down.

According to Bluenile.com. You can find a very similar diamond for around 10k. Looks like you did good.
