shouldnt be a problem. usually teh bolt that holds the sproket on has a large washer so that should keep it in if it is that loose.

Im getting confused here. I posted about problems I was having with my jeep a while back. I ended up taking it to the dealer to get it checked. They said I wasnt getting any compression in the # 2 spark plug hole (sorry dont know the correct term). So instead of getting it fixed their I had a friend/mechanic work on it. At first he was going to replace the head gasket, but he found that the pin on the camshaft was loose and needed repair. And that this was the cause of the problem.

Today, he finished putting everything back together only to find that the engine wont start. In fact it sounds exactly the same as before any work was done on it.

Now Im getting worried that after spending the money I did, it wasnt the problem...
