Camping Near Austin Advice

I'm planning ot make a trip in Austin and also plan to do some camping/backpacking maybe around Enchanted rock and Lake Travis?? Do yall know of any good camping/backpacking spots out there?

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area has camping and backpacking. It gets crowded at times so you want to make a reservation if staying overnight. On weekends if you get to the park late you may have to wait a while to get in.

I used to go to Pace Bend Park on Lake Travis in college but have not been back in a long time.

you could also check out Perdenales Falls State Park. They have a back packing area on the other side of river from main camp ground area. IT was always my favorite park close to Austin. Enchanted Rock is about another 45 minutes further west form Perdenales Falls.

Inks Lake SP is nice.

LCRA manages Pale Face Ranch park on Lake Travis I believe. Stayed there once.
