I'm going to have to leave it with you. Mrs. HHD and I leave early Saturday morning for a long-planned road trip vacation. We're off to the Dakotas for some sightseeing, through Iowa for Karen to see her old childhood home, and on to Lincoln to help my Husker son celebrate his 40th birthday.

The mojo that we have been brewing has worked pretty well so far (except for this afternoon's loss in Oakland). We really need to see the Rangers clinch the AL West during the homestand, so that the games in Anaheim become more-or-less meaningless. I had hoped to see them clinch before I hit the road, but it looks doubtful.

So I leave it in your hands to cheer the Rangers on while I'm gone. Continue to work on the mojo. I'll rejoin the zealots on the 4th of October and we can cheer them on to a World Series victory!

Will be cheering from down here every game. This has been a really good September, wish I could have gotten back for more than just the one game back in April but this is a fun time to watch and cheer on.

Bought tickets for 9 family and friends one month ago for Saturday's game with no thought that it could be the day they clinch the division. Should be a great time...at least we hope.

Have a safe trip HHD. With a Division Title Magic Number of 2, hopefully that is out of the way, and the Rangers can play loose and grasp the #2 spot over Detroit.

Why not Minot - the battle cry of many a young B-52 pilot. To many no reasons - most of which involve the thermometer and North Dakota.

i'll be gnawing on my fingernails the entire way! if we win today... i think LA will be deflated and perhaps lose tonight too. but then you have to think they are only a couple games out of the WC, still an outside shot so they may try very hard to win out, seeing as the red sox play the yankees... should be interesting.

You did well in my absence. Mrs. HHD and i had a terrific ten-day road trip, and we got home tonight just in time to see the bottom of the eighth and the ninth.
