Best golf is Cabo Del Sol. Closest thing to Pebble that I have played, but it is very expensive. Wish I could help you on food, but I can't remember. We ate at an awesome place in San Jose that had an outdoor courtyard and was very nice, but can't remember the name.
The Ocean Course at Cabo Del Sol. Hands down. I never eat fancy when I'm down there so I can't help you much. If you want a cool place, the Latitude 22 Roadhouse (hence, my screenname) is fun.
The Office is a cool mexican restaurant on the beach near the marina. Tables literally on the sand...good, strong margs and food was decent. Great atmosphere.
I second Cabo del Sol. I played the Ocean Course when I was there a few years ago and there's no better finish than 16, 17 and 18. Take a camara.
I third the recommendation on Cabo del Sol Ocean course. There is a good sushi place called Nik Son I think, across the highway from the Palmilla, but like everything else, a little pricey.
Here's another tip on Cabo Del Sol. Don't tee off from the designated tee box on 17. Grab several balls and clubs and start heading behind the 16th green towards the ocean. You'll see the trail. Follow this to the championship tee that the pros hit from when they're on TV. They never have this tee box marked for regular play but it makes the hole infinitely better.
People will try to stear you to the Trailer Park. Don't take the bait...over priced and average food.
In San Jose del Cabo the Tropicana was OK. Margaritavilla in Los Cabos was decent to sit on the upper deck over looking the marina, drink ritas and eat guacamole.
For the most part, the food is over priced and pretty average.
There is a town about 40 miles up the coast called Todo Santos. Its a great little artists community with a resteraunt called the Cafe Santa Fe - extremely good italian food.
