So the roomie is moving out which means I have to cover the cable bill solo and man is it expensive. I'm thinking about dropping it down to basic and keeping RR but that means no Comedy Central

Is there anyone that has been happy with sateliite in Austin? Is there much of a price difference? Thanks!!

I have DISH through SBC and have had no problem with it. The only problem I have come accross was at the beginning when we added our High Def. They failed to tell us we had to get the local High Def channels through an antenna. One rep would tell us you need the anttena but not also specify we had to change some settings when we had the anttena. Took us a couple weeks to get the High def they way it should but Oh well. Also you can't get FOX in High Def which sucks during footbal season.

If you're looking for the absolute basic package(60 Channels) for one television it's 29.99 and it includes the comedy channel. Add five dollars for each additional television you want after the first one. The price is the same on the basic package if you go through DISH or SBC but through SBC there are no contract and if you live in an apartment you cannot get DISH through SBC. If you have any question PM me, I used to work for SBC so I sold DISH through SBC. If you're looking into saving money I would also look into DSL it is a lot cheaper than RR. DSL is cheaper for new customers than it is for empolyees right now.

Ans yes I know I can't spell...oh well

There have too many "XXX cable sucks" posts here to count. I don't remember any about Dish or Direct TV.
