i think he's close to a decommit. any other year mack would tell him he has no ship. this year may be different given our year.. but he's got to see a lot more likely PT at aggy. plus the crowd was pumped, and he saw the "best" of aggy at kyle tonight.
we'll see. with this situation and rasco not as certain as before (fsu looking pretty strong)... i have no idea what we'll do at DE this year. edmond could be a buck..thompson perhaps. lucky that we have wilson and jeffcoat as freshmen.
DE is not a concern? well we lose Acho and Jones this year. Jeffcoat has been hurt, with some concerns about lingering chronic back problems. Wilson is still raw. Okafor is stuck playing DT because our DT depth stinks.
Yes, we have bigger concerns.. fixing the safeties.. getting a true MLB, building DT depth.. but we can't go a year without a true DE recruit.
Well let's see................UT having it's worst year since 1956 and Aggie having it's best (highest profile) win in over a decade...............if he doesn't decommit then Mack's mojo is still going strong-------------if he does decommit then he's an 18 yo kid behaving like an 18 yo kid...in the end he should have more success (wins/development) at UT.
re: jeffcoat.. he had some issues in high school. there's suspicion that there has been more than an ankle injury keeping him out these last few weeks. it's been widely reported on the interwebs.... but it could all be nothing. that said, even at 100%, we need more than him and wilson for DE depth next year. "Dr. Johnson" isn't going to be the answer. Okafor hopefully will slide back. Daniels perhaps?
Do time machines apply if it was less than a year ago? The last time aggy won a meaningful bowl game was when they upset Tim Brown's Notre Dame. College seniors weren't even born.
I'm at the point where I thought the zing was funny. The usual aggy chest-thumping regardless of the state of the program, not so much. This, however, was good.
