Best of luck, yer gonna need it. Bowl games and good seasons must not be high on his list of things to want and hey, it takes all types. I hope he has a great time in college and stays healthy as well.
We cannot get them all and aggy barely gets any so they are due.
Immediate playing time and you only have to choke chickens twelve hours per semester. Also, you will look great for the NFL scouts on a ****** team. Diamond in the rough, sorry, ruff (sic).
Let's reserve judgement. Getting Nelson shows that Sherman can get players everybody wants. If he can find great players not everybody else wants (like they've done a Boise State, Utah, etc.) then he may yet be successful.
I agree better to have him at atm. He will be harmless there. Undersized and run over in gomersville. Now we can put that extra effort into getting Hicks for sure.
Just a "reading the tea leaves" opinion, but I don't think the staff felt too good about Nelson coming here for some time. Not that we won't be after Hicks until the end, but I think that the offer to the kid from Marshall told the story.
Oh my... GREAT pick up for aggy. I wonder if the upcoming season may make some of their better recruits like Nelson reconsider. I have a feeling they aren't going to win but 4 games.
Heck of a pickup for the aggys. Nelson is a blue chip and gives them a LB recruit like they have not had in many years. I also think we need to make a stronger push for hicks. I was comparing their numbers and it's not close. Hicks is bigger, faster, stronger, quicker and taller if I remember correctly. Again not badmouthing nelson he's a player but hicks will be something special and hopefully he does it wearing burnt orange.
I can't understand why someone really talented would go to a&m. After what happened Sat., who knows who will even be the coach in the next year or so? Oh, well - to each his own.
No TV for A&M-ISU: The A&M-Iowa State game on Halloween at Kyle Field was the only Big 12 game not selected for television.
