Buying Sandbags in Dallas?

From what I'm seeing, most of your sandbag options are going to come through the city / county / state government & since Dallas really isn't considered a high risk flood area, they probably aren't gonna be stocking up on them to hand out.

Know anyone in the coastal areas?

The only other option I might see is http://SandBagExpress.com with options for overnight shipping (500 bags @ $ 170.00, lower prices in larger volume).

Also, you should look into the "GoBagger".>The Link

thanks Rox. It looks like Sandbag Express is just the bags, whereas I need ones already filled.

I've bought them before here but the usual suspects are out.

HD, Lowes, etc. sell playsand in plastic bags in gardening-will those work??

A place that is even cooler than Elliot's is Turner Hardware. I'll bet they have the bags, but I don't know about pre-filled.

I have seen McMansion crews use them to hold mesh grates over stormwater drains to keep debris out, so there are certainly some non-emergency uses.

Good luck!
