buying oysters in greater houston?

I don't know where to get them, but where in Seabrook? And how does one shuck an oyster? Do you need a special knife?

Grab oyster in one hand, insert knife between shells and rotate your wrist like you are twisting the throttle on a motorcycle, but away from you.

It's not a bad idea to wear a pair of these:

I haven't been there in the last month or two, but Central Market usually has unshucked oysters. The sell them in mesh bags in the seafood department.

Louisiana Foods on N Post Oak Rd (I 10 and 610W). Owned by an original Landry's guy and they supply many restaurants in town including Magnolia Grill. Great place

In Seabrook:

Driving south on 146 in Seabrook, exit at the bridge that crosses Clear Lake; go under bridge and circle around to the right. There are several big seafood markets along here, and the goods are fresh off the boat.

I bought some from Airline Seafood last weekend. Puked and shat my brains out all week along with the other guy that ate them.
