Buying OU Tickets

What’s the best place to buy OU tickets? And the best location in the stadium?

Seeing tickets around $900 for good seats. Are the cheaper seats still good views?

Never had what one would call ‘googd’ seats but always had a good time. Mine have always been upper deck season ticket holder allotment.

Agree with Nash. In the upper deck you see the entire field. I sat under the upper deck overhang at 40yd line once. Hated it.
Give me my upper deck season tix allotment.
Just being there is everything (as long as you don't have to sit by an okie)

I will say the upper deck seems at least 10 degrees hotter. But I agree you can see the field fine from there maybe even better than lower. My season ticket allotment moved me from upper deck corner end zone to top row of lower deck in the end zone (no overhang). I like the last 2 years in the lower deck.

$900 a seat seems high to me. Post on swap meet and see if anything comes up. If both teams lose a game or two before the matchup prices really plummet.

I recall getting tickets from someone in dfw who said he was a relative of Leon Manley back in 82, 83. I drove to the house in Farmers Branch IIRC, on a large dining room table was a foldable diagram of the cotton bowl. Tix were spread out in the designated sections. I called the ph# the following year, was disconnected

Tix were reasonably priced. Under $100 for 35 yd line. $30 for corner end zone.

He never told me his full name but seemed to have a legit connection to coach Manley, even tho Manley retired in 1980

I've told this story here before.

First of all. Be careful buying tickets to the ou game. Do NOT sit in ou section even if tickets are cheap - you WILL regret it.

In 1980 I paid a scalper x2 $600 to sit on the 50 yard line to impress a date I was crazy for. Post college I did not have THAT kind of $$$. When you are single, women can make you do crazy stuff.....

Anyway, I bought em!
Row 10 at the 50. Sat next to Dr. Lorraine Rogers, President of UT. As you would expect, she was professional, gracious and friendly during the entire game.

However, at the time, I was pissed off. I had to behave and tone down some of my normal youthful ou game obnoxiousness & loud yells / taunts during the game.

I remember it was a hot-*** day in the stands... regardless the Horns won 20-13!

Thank you. I got stuck sitting two rows behind Peter Flawn. May have been his first football game. I refused to let his presence curb my enthusiasm or disdain for Barry & the boys. My spouse kept reminding me that it could have been Norm Hackerman.
