buying away-game tickets

Texasports doesn't have away gam tix available from what I can figure out....is that right and if so, when do they become available?

Tickets for away games sold to UT are very limited by the host. Typically in conference games UT gets 4000. Those are used for VIP's, parents, band, etc. and the ones left after that are available to season ticket holders. You can request away tickets when you renew your season tickets, but they are allocated to the highest donors requesting them until they are gone and a cutoff is established.

I have never tried to buy them through texassports.com but I order them regularly with my season tickets. For games like Texas A&M or Nebraska, the cutoff is typically above my LHF donation. I would guess that tickets for away games that don't have as much demand and don't reach a donation cutoff may show up there.

I suggest you call the Longhorn Foundation and inquire.

Either Lenny will have them or the away school ticket office should have them!

They'll put them on sale on texassports only if there are some left from UT's allotment after filling orders for season ticket holders. This usually happens in mid-late August. I expect you'll be able to get tix to Iowa State and MAYBE Mizzou & UCLA this way, but that's about it. Best bet is to go through the other school. UCLA tix are on sale via Ticketmaster right now, FYI.

Thanks for thoughts, all. My wife and I live in St. Louis (both '07 grads) and were wanting to sit in visitor section. If we have to plan otherwise, so be it. Our local Exes chapter had some tickets to one of the Kansas games a couple years back but maybe that was the exception rather than the rule.
