Great job by coach Stevens, but I do have very minor quibble with the way he called his timeouts.

When they got the turnover with 33 seconds left, I would have preferred running past half-court and then immediately calling timeout.

I felt like waiting until 13.8 seconds were left put more stress on the players, possibly tightening up.

Especially after the 2nd TO, which was caused by having the wrong guy trying to inbound the ball.

I think that with 28 or so seconds the players would have a chance to be just a bit 'more loose' in the execution. This is where you miss an analyst with a coaching mind.

I almost thought the coach was gonna let it go all the way without a TO. Now that would have been a ballsy move. With two TOs, nobody would have expected that.

It kind of seemed like the player didn't have an option, he was gonna take the shot no matter what.

Agree, they could have set themselves up with more time to run the offense and get something closer to the hoop.

hmmm, yeah, I can kind of see that. To me the players looked confused long before 13.8, though. I'm really being picky here, I realize that. I would like to hear from the coach what his plan was.

Just chiming in to say both of those WVU games in 2006 were absolutely awesome. The block for the win in the first game, and the dagger 3 in the second.

Some of my absolute favorite longhorn basketball moments. We had their number that year.
