Can anyone recommend a good place in town to get nice juicy thick steaks? I'm tired of the 1/2" strips at HEB, and I'm too cheap to pay $45/year to get meat at Costco.

The Meat Shop on Payton Gin. I've never bought meat from there, but I hear Hudson's on the Bend buys their steaks from this place.

Coopers meat market on jefferson and 38th has a good selection, pretty pricey but hella better than HEB, central market steaks are pretty good too

I'm told Johnny G's Butcher Block on Manchaca way south of Slaughter is a great source for meat.
