...a beautiful West Texas sunset.

Need some other ideas. As part of a class project, my daughter has written me a note asking what my favorite color is. Of course it is burnt orange. I am trying to think of other things burnt orange is/represents.

Thanks hornfans.

the billy pittman touchdown picture with the entire longhorn nation in the background. that is one of the coolest football pictures i've seen

while my 7 YO is not going to understand who Billy Pittman is (thank you for playing though), I love these other examples.

I once heard Daryl Royal say that if you take all the dirts in the lands from all over the state of Texas and mix them together, you get burnt orange.

I love the sight of Burnt Orange in the morning. It's the smell of, the smell of victory.

On that same note, you should look for a Texas Dirt Shirt. The one I saw was from a store in that big *** Grapevine hotel. It read something like, if God isn't a Longhorn fan then why did he make Texas dirt burnt orange. The shirt gets its color from being soaked in Texas mud and is an awesome burnt orange color.

It's not so much who Billy Pittman is as much as it is the picture of the crowd, the blue sky, the uniform all in one. It is Texas/OU, and if you were there it was the straw that broke the camel's back and marked the end of the streak...so if anything else, educate your 7yo about the pic!!

My first thought would be: the skid marks that appear on my underwear.

But didn't Coach Royal choose that specific shade of orange so that a tightly held football would blend into a ball carrier's jersey?
