Burn The Black Uniforms

Beat UConn in them.

Everyone other than Turner/Felix tonight = 6-24 shooting so far. No excuses for shooting like ****. I'd love to pretend that it's a coaching or practice problem, but none of the guys on the team were recruited because of their shooting skills. Maybe it's a reluctance to pull the trigger on a school that has struggled so mightily on the offensive side of the ball for so long, but this can't stand forever.

The extent to which this talented team is underachieving cannot be overstated. There is still time left to right the ship but, based on what I have seen so far in conference play, the season looks like a colossial disappointment.

I thought that was a pretty incredible way to finish the game. They could have mailed it in and just lost by 23 or whatever. And considering how poorly the offense had been playing up until about 10 minutes left in the game, they should have lost by high double-digits.

We're not an NIT team, but the performance today won't get us out of the round of 32 in March. The bigs got frustrated too easily on the defensive end, and we couldn't shoot to save our lives in the first half. ISU is better than their upset loss to Tech indicated. They're the best-shooting team we'll face in the conference slate, and we came within a bad stretch of beating them. That's not as much a reason for gloom and doom as our guard play is.

Barnes needs a way to get Ridley more involved, but it's not going to happen if Taylor, Holland, and Felix can't figure out how to move the ball. It seems as though the directive is to go through Turner whenever he's on the floor, and that's sound advice, but we're neglecting arguably our strongest player, who can wear down defenders and draw fouls. Seems dumb to ignore him as much as we are.
