Buffett: 'Uhhh... Barak? A word?'

Buffett estimated that raising the tax rate on ultra-rich multimillionaires would raise about $20 billion and go a long way to solving the deficit issue. However, Buffett specifically said he did not advocate taxing people making $1 million.

A long way warren? That's rich....knowing buffett, i imagine this bill hurts his business in some way.

A lot of people might be willling to pay more in taxes IF IT WAS GOING TO DEBT REDUCTION. As it is, I'll be damned if I will give Washington an extra dime for them to throw away on crap.

Given this country has 300 million people, we also have 300 million opinions on what the govt. should spend money on. That is why we have that whole election process to outsource the duties of deciding.

So, you may not want to pay a dime of taxes, and that is your view, but ultimately we still need enough dimes from everyone to pay for basic govt. services- and taking tough guy stands don't exactly help.

I think $20 B from the 'ultra rich' as Warren states is a great START. You don't get a bucket full of water without making drops in the bucket first. You couple this, with entitlement cuts, and you have a large puddle already that we can manage within a few years.

Its really this simple. If you believe the US government does not take in enough tax revenues, you are a moron. Fraud and inefficiency is rampant. I am not willing to pay more taxes or support increasing taxes on ANYONE until the government improves spending efficiency.
