The "Watering your lawn" thread over on Quacks got me thinking. I have tried Buffalo grass in spots twice with no luck. The stuff just got thinner and thinner and finally was overtaken by other grass and weeds. If you have had luck with Buffalo, what strains have you used? What soil prep is needed? How much water to start and then to support? Will any variety take any amount of shade? What is needed to get this stuff to thrive?
