Bucky on 1300

I'm just curious how his new show is going? I stopped listening long ago. I just couldn't handle the new format. It sucks that the the Zone got so messed up. I can't even listen to the 10AM show with Bucky. One hour is just not enough for me after having gotten used to three to five hours of sports talk in the morning.

However, I do wish the guy well. I hope that he ends up at 1530 soon though. I think that he, Erin, and Mike would be good together, or would that be too many hens in the henhouse? I think that he would bring some comedy to that show, which is some of what I find is lacking in that show. Although, I do like the sports talk, but I miss some of the comedy "spots." There was even much comedy in the sports-related topics that Bucky would speak on, and Erin would either join in or play the straight man very effectively.

I don't get to listen to his 1 hour show, but I can't stand his role in the morning show with Bob. He really only functions as a comic relief to Bob's conservative, old guy rants... They rarely if ever speak sports which is Bucky's strength.

I have not listened to 1300 in months. I just could not take any of them, 1530 is the new 1300!!!

I'll tune in sometimes to listen to see what's going on b/c I can't pick up 1530 until I'm half way into work (I can pick them up on 98.1.

I don't know if it is their "thing", but Bucky and Bob do not sound like they get along. I know that radio people have to play off of each other. Anytime Bucky even mentions something like he knows it, Bob seems to be on a personal mission to prove him wrong. However anytime Bucky and the producers gang up on Bob b/c's he's wrong about something he takes it so personal. Bob Cole is teh suck.

I listened religiously several weeks ago and that was the week that Bob Cole was on vacation though.

I really want B&E to get back together, but I'm liking the show with Rosy. It would have to be a 3 man show I don't want them to lose Rosy. Anyone else agree.

Unfortunately, my car won't pick up 1530, even in town - my radio is teh suck! Bucky and Bob are almost unlistenable - I hate the old fart conservative Bob Cole. Sigh. Oh, for the good ole days.

When I'm in a vehicle that will pick up 1530, I really enjoy E & Rosy

I listen to B&B regularly and like it most of the time. Then again, if you're under 30, have multiple piercings and tatoos, and think BO offers "hope", you probably consider me a "conservative old fart".

Or maybe they just know the difference between decent radio and GREAT radio which is what Bucky and Erin were. Would you say you like the new show on the former Zone or what once was? Just curious. There is not a right or wrong answer.

I've warmed up to Mike Rosenthal as E. Hogan's co-host on 1530, despite the fact that he's a Domer. But I'd love it if Bucky would make the jump.

Any idea of how the ratings are for the Bucky & Bob show? There used to be a poster here that had that kind of "inside" information. I'm just curious if this is working out for the station.

I've tried to tune in to hear Bucky for a couple of minutes every once in awhile since I can't pick up a good signal from 1530 until I get close to South Austin, but it just sounds so pathetic that I quickly turn to FM radio until I can pick up 1530. It really is sad. I could be wrong, but on the rare occasion that I've heard Bucky, he sounds like this is so miserable for him.

I love Bucky and don't mind Bob (despite differences in political leanings) but it's not sports radio. Maybe Bucky got tired of the sports schtick or was forced to do the new format, but it doesn't seem to cater to his strengths.

Is Bucky even doing the 10AM one hour sports show anymore? Thinking about this thread, I tried to tune into it for a bit and I heard David Anderson hosting the show. Is he not on 1530 anymore? He was saying that he was glad to be back at the Zone and all this other stuff. So, have they replaced Bucky's 10AM show, or did he just decide to give that up? Man, I hope that this means that Bucky is nearing the end of his contract. Maybe we'll hear something soon about a station change for Bucky. One can hope.

Haven't listened lately, but Bucky is still listed on their website as doing the 10-11 show.

I suspect Bucky's making more money doing the morning show with Bob and it will be hard to beat that on a sports only station as long as their ratings hold up which remains to be seen.

I suspect the absence of sports will be much more noticeable once football gets back in gear. Though, who knows, maybe they'll do more sports come fall? Did anyone out there ever listen to Bob last year?

I'm confident that Geoff "my website" Ketchum is the worst thing on AM radio in Austin.
