Bubba: Obama Is Just Like Jesse Jackson

1) Bill shouldn't have made that comment2) He didn't say "Obama is just like Jesse Jackson", but that's the blog headline
3) What Bill did say is correct

You can't bring race into the conversation and then CNN reports that "Obama captures 80 percent of the African-American vote, according to exit polls"
. [currently a bullet point on the front page-]The Link

Obama won across every demographic except old people. It wasn't just
the black vote. But it was because
of the black vote (and Hillary's impending defeat to Obama) that Hillary left the state and campaigned in Super Tuesday states before Saturday's primary. I don't know how many percentage points it cost her, but I would think a few. People don't like to be ignored when they're on stage.

When faced with inevitable defeat, the Clinton camp chose to withdraw and put their resources towards fighting a more winnable battle.

But this started with the black vote. As Bill points out, that if Jesse Jackson could win S.C. in '84 & '88, then of course Obama could win. Jackson was a minister with no experience as an elected official. Obama is a US Senator who was a state legislator and who has a law degree. (Plus he's charismatic, in case you haven't noticed.)

Obama would have wiped the floor with Jesse Jackson. So if Jesse can win S.C., for Obama S.C. should have been a walk in the park Kazanski.

But still, Bill should not have made that comment. It probably did more harm than good. (probably)

Ummm so clintons made it about race but major netwroks also brought race into it with their constant droning of obama getting such a huge % of the black vote.
i don't remember the networks making the same big deal out of hillary getting the white vote in Nev.
Nothing the Machine Clinton does is accidental. we will see how this plays out.
if hillary were more likeable it would already be over.

The New York Times has an article and it's basically discussing poll results. And almost all they focus on is RACE.In reply to:
