2. Nothing against Baylor, but WSU must be really bad, which is good. I was worried after they lost to aggy lite. Usually aggy lite starts the season by squeaking by SW Missouri St. at home by 3. When they blow out someone from a conference you've heard of, on the road, it means they are going to be pretty good, even when the team they beat is not that great. I hate it when that happens. I feed on aggy lite misery like Longhorn Lawyer feeds on farmer angst. But now I think there is still hope that aggy lite's collective spirit will be crushed several times this season.

Yes. It's on TV on FSSW. But it is quite possibly the worst picture ever. Much like the A&M game against Texas State(?) which got moved to Thursday night because of Hurricane Rita(?) and looked like it was being filmed on a webcam.

It was moved to Friday from Saturday morning because of Ike.

Wazzu is REALLY bad. I think a lot of Pac 10 folks feel like they won't win a game (yes, knowing Portland St. is on the schedule). Cal folks don't even feel like they played very well last Saturday and they beat the Cougs 66-3. In Pullman. Brandon Gibson should have gone pro (he is a very nice WR).

Wazzu may be teh suck, but its still nice to see BU roll a Pac-10 team. They've got a good chance at 3-1 with UConn on the schedule for next week. Not a bad start if they can get to 3-1 with the one loss being against a ranked team.

Any guesses as to the Bears' bowl chances this year?

I think UConn, Iowa State, and aggy are very winnable games on their schedule. Then they just need to eke out one more win somewhere. Okie State is probably their best shot.

What a story that would be if they became bowl eligible. Is it just me or is anyone else thinking maybe aggy becomes the regular cellar dweller in the South, at least the next few years

Of course, Iowa State plays in the North, so they probably won't be a cellar dweller in the South.
