BSU #1 - Probably Not

Anybody else as entertained as I was by Kyle Effaw's answer to Chris Myers' post-game question about whether Boise State should be number one after that win. "Uh, probably not!" He looked totally beat after taking the MVP-offense trophy and walking off the stage.

People here in Boise are realistic about who #1 should be, and they understand it is not them. The only question here is whether Florida will pass them to #2. Next year on the other hand, BSU should start pretty high in the polls and the schedule is better. They play Va Tech, Oregon State, and Wyoming, so it least it makes it respectable. Win out next year and we will see.

I think Florida was already ahead of Boise St. in the rankings so I don't see any way Boise ends up #2. Not saying they don't deserve it, but I just don't see it happening.

Yeah, I guess I should have put that another way. People here think since they are undefeated and just beat a very good team, they should jump Florida to #2. But I agree with you, Florida will be #2. Hell BSU might finish #4 behind the loser of the NCG.

I agree with the comment about next year. This year... well Oregon was the only respectable paper team they beat. On paper the rest don't come off so great. It is a shame but they will probably end up #4.

My belief is that Boise St is a lock for #3.

If Texas wins the MNC then I think Boise well end up #4 behind Texas, Alabama, and Florida.

If Alabama wins, then I believe the voters will drop Texas behind Alabama, Florida, and Boise, so we'd finish #4 at best.
